Recently, the hoisting of the first heavy key equipment, i.e. the ammonia converter, has been completed for NCIC Phase III Fertilizer Project, an EPC project of CNCEC-WUHUAN in Egypt. This means the project has officially entered the stage of heavy equipment installation.

Located in the Ain Sokhna Industrial Zone, Suez Governorate, Egypt, this Project uses natural gas, phosphate rock and sulfur as main raw materials to produce chemical fertilizer products including synthetic ammonia, large-granule urea and ammonium phosphate. As the 1st such project contracted by a Chinese engineering company for producing synthetic ammonia and urea from natural gas in the Egyptian market, which has been traditionally dominated by European and American enterprises, it is also a key cooperation project of CNCEC in following the Belt and Road Initiative.
