Recently, an EPC contract was signed by and between Wuhuan Engineering Co., Ltd. (WUHUAN for short) and Egypt's EL Nasr Company for Intermediate Chemicals (hereinafter referred to as NCIC) for a large-scale fertilizer project of NCIC in Egypt. This features re-cooperation of WUHUAN and NCIC following the successful execution of the latter’s phosphate fertilizer project in 2016.
Boasting a contract value of over 1 billion Euros, this project is located in the Ain Sokhna industrial zone of Suez Province, Egypt. It takes natural gas and phosphate rock as the main raw materials, producing such fertilizer products as synthetic ammonia, urea and ammonium phosphate. A consortium between WUHUAN and Egypt's PETROJET was formed to jointly undertake the engineering design, construction, and start-up works, etc. of the ammonia unit, urea unit, ammonium phosphate unit, as well as plant-wide utilities and off-site facilities for this grand project.
