Construction Commencement of China's First Carbon-rich Natural Gas Dry Reforming to Syngas Pilot Project

Recently, construction of China's first marine carbon-rich natural gas dry reforming to syngas project, i.e. Carbon-rich Natural Gas Dry Reforming to Syngas Pilot Project of China BlueChemical Ltd. with WUHUAN as the EPC Contractor, was started in Dongfang City, Hainan Province, China. This project makes use of the CO₂ conversion to syngas technology jointly developed by China BlueChemical Ltd., BASF and WUHUAN to produce syngas with adjustable hydrogen-to-carbon ratio, greatly increasing CO₂ utilization of the CO₂-rich natural gas feedstock, and providing effective solutions for green conversion and efficient utilization of carbon-rich natural gas in the South China Sea.
