Recently, good news was heard about the water treatment of Yulin Coal Deep Processing Base Project of China Coal, which was contracted by WUHUAN (under CNCEC), i.e. the temporary storage tank for high-concentration brine was successfully capped, laying a solid foundation for the overall progression of the project.
This grand project features a planned annual capacity of 2.2 million tons of methanol and 900,000 tons of polyolefin. It shoulders the important mission as the 1st coal chemical project approved by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of the People's Republic of China as well as a pilot demonstration project for carbon emission assessment in the domestic coal chemical industry. It’s to be an exemplary vanguard in the modern coal chemical industry in terms of environmental management and climate change response, helping to push the industry towards national demonstration goals and towards high-quality development, and accelerate the process of industrial transformation and upgrading.
The successful capping of the high-concentration brine temporary storage pool is an important milestone in water treatment of this project, marking another significant step towards the goal of full completion and commissioning of the project. Following this, the project team will continue to steadily advance the subsequent works in a rigorous and professional manner to ensure that the project is delivered on schedule and with high quality, thus contributing to the green, low-carbon and sustainable development of China's coal chemical industry.
